This glossary or dictionary is but a small introduction to the vast scope of the Gnostic Teachings. The knowledge given in the writings of Samael Aun Weor ranges across the whole of human experience and therefore draws on the world's great treasure of language and mystical expression; what cannot be expressed accurately in one language or religious context may find its perfect meaning in another tongue or theology. Glorian Publishing invites additions, suggestions and corrections for all the terms in this Glossary. The Gnostic Glossary is being prepared for a print edition. | |

| Occult | Howbeit we (Gnostics) speak (Kabbalistic) wisdom among them that are (spiritually) perfect: yet (the wisdom of the mysterious Sephirah Daath that is) not the (materialistic) wisdom of this world, nor of the (intellectual) princes of this world (of Kali Yuga), that come to nought: But we speak the (Kabbalistic) wisdom of God in (the) mystery (of the Sephirah Daath), even the occult wisdom, which God ordained before (the creation of) the world unto our glory: Which none of the (intellectual) princes of this age (of Kali Yuga) knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified (with their filthy fornication) the Lord of (Hod) glory. But as it is written, (the intellectual) Eye hath not seen, nor (the intellectual) ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of (a fornicator) man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (by means of the transmutation of their sexual waters into the wine of spirituality). But God hath revealed them unto us by his (Holy) Spirit: (that rises throughout the channel of Sushumna of our spinal medulla) for the (Spiritual Atom of the Holy) Spirit (in the Pineal Gland) searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, save the (energy of the Holy) Spirit of man which is in (the sexual organs of) him? Even so the things of God know no man, but the (Holy) Spirit of God. Now we (are not fanatical believers who babble incoherent words or Mediums or Chanellers of Spiritualism, because we) have received not the spirit of the world of (Klipoth), but the (Holy) Spirit which is of God (in the Stone of Jacob, the Stone of Yesod); that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak (in the language of scientific chastity or Alchemy), not in the words which (the intellectual animal mistakenly called) man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with (authentic) spiritual (matters). But the natural man (who performs the sexual act as an animal) receives not the things of the (Holy) Spirit of God (because he is a fornicator due to the sexual orgasm): for they are foolishness unto him (because he has his brain and his pineal gland atrophied due to fornication): neither can he know them (the mysteries of God), because they are spiritually discerned (with a Solar Christified Mind). But he that is spiritual (is spiritual because he created a spiritual body through scientific chastity and thus he) judged all things (with his superlative intuition), yet he himself is judged of no (fornicator) man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ (the Solar Mind). - 1 Corinthians 2: 6 -16 |
| Ocelotl | (Nahuatl for “tiger/jaguar,” where the name ocelot originated). Refers to the Order of the Tiger Knights amongst the Aztec initiates. These initiates specialized in Jinn science and are considered as Nahua (see: Nahua). They would enter in to the Jinn state and shape shift into Tigers or Jaguars while pronouncing the sacred mantra “We belong to each other.” See: Tlamatinime. |
| Ojas | (Sanskrit, literally "power or force of life") "The Sanskrit term Ojas means “transmuted sexual energy,” a type of Christic force (read chapter 22). The semen is transmuted by means of Maithuna into subtle vapors, and these in turn convert themselves into energies that bipolarize in order to rise through Ida and Pingala up to the brain.To be converted into Ojas (Christic force) the semen must become “cerebrated.” In order to be charged with Ojas (Christic force), the brain must become “seminized.”” - The Doomed Aryan Race |
| Okidanokh | The primary emanation of the Ain Soph, the Solar Absolute. The energy field origin of all the cosmoses and whose vibration manifests through the Law of Three within all dimensional material manifestations. Okidanokh is the fundamental cause of all cosmic phenomena; it is the Christic substance capable of penetrating all cosmic formations. Kabbalistically, it is the life source of the sacred Triamazikamno or Logoic Trimurti: Kether, Chokmah, Binah. |

| Omer | The term Omer (an analogous symbol to that of the Scale of Justice) refers to the measure that was used to determine the quantity (one handful) of grain (this refers to the “hand” or will of God - the Iod within “Hei” the Uterus in Yesod) within which the Manna (his Infinite Sexual Force that originates the Second Birth) is contained. “Speak unto the children of Israel (or igneous particles of the Being trapped within the Ego that - by means of sexual transmutation - are coming out of Egypt), and say unto them, When you enter into the land (spinal medulla) which I give unto you, and shall (by means of sexual transmutation) reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring an Omer of the first fruits (of the tree of Good and Evil) of your harvest unto the priest (Chesed, the Innermost): And he shall wave the “Omer” before Iod-Havah, to be accepted for you: on the dawning after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. - Leviticus 23: 10, 11 “And you shall count unto you from the dawning after the Sabbath (when you start sexual transmutation), from the day that you have brought the "Omer" (transmuted sexual seed offering); seven Sabbaths (Seven Initiations of Fire) shall be complete: Even unto the day after the Seventh Sabbath (Seventh Initiation of Fire) shall you count fifty days (if Nun, the heir to the throne, the Messiah incarnates); and you shall offer a new meat (of light) offering unto Iod-Havah.” - Leviticus 23:15-16

| Ometecuhtli | (Aztec; Ome, “duality” and Tecuhtli, “Lord”) The Lord of Duality. This is seen as the Androgynous nature of the Spirit. He is represented as being joined with his spouse Omecihuatl (see entry by that name). Ometecuhtli-Omecihuatl is the Aztec Osiris-Isis, Joseph-Mary, Shiva-Shakti, or Samantabahdra-Samantabahdri. This aspect of the Spirit is seen Kabbalistically within Daath, where divine creativity resides. The conjunction of Ometecuhtli-Omecihuatl is called Ometeotl, the one androgynous spirit.
The dwelling place of Ometeotl is the Omeyocan. The children of Ometecuhtli-Omecihuatl are the four aspects of the Cosmic Christ: Tezcatlipoca, Huitzilopochtli, Quetzalcoatl, and Xipetotec. See Omeyocan, Tezcatlipoca. |

| Omeyocan | A very elevated Aztec heaven, literally meaning “Place of Duality.” Master Samael states in Aztec Christic Magic: “The Quetzalcoatlian Word makes the Omeyocan fertile, so that life can emerge in the dawn of creation. Unquestionably, only the wind and darkness exist within the Omeyocan before the word can fecundate the chaotic matter. Life waits for the latent instant in order to be awakened to a new activity within Yoalli-Ehecatl, there where the infinite quietude whirls about.” This is related to the mysteries of Daath. |
| Ophanim | (Hebrew) According to Kabbalah, a being related to the sephirah Chokmah, equivalent to the Christian hierarchical level of “Cherubim.” |
| Ophites | (Greek) A Gnostic Fraternity in Egypt and one of the earliest sects of Gnosticism; known as the Brotherhood of the Serpent. It flourished early in the second century and while holding some of the principles of Valentinus had its own occult rites and symbology. A living serpent representing the Krestos-principle (not Jesus the man) was displayed in their mysteries and reverenced as a symbol of wisdom, Sophia. |

| Ordeals |
Tests and challenges given to the consciousness of every aspirant to the Light. "The ordeals of Initiation are extremely severe. The disciple has to follow a perfect, holy and chaste path. Thus, when reaching the Intimate, the human being becomes converted into a Master of Major Mysteries and into a Theurgist." - The Revolution of Beelzebub
“Many esoteric ordeals exist on the initiatic path. It is necessary to pass through the ordeal of the Guardian of the Threshold in the three planes: astral, mental, and causal; it is necessary to pass through the ordeals of fire, air, water, and earth; it is necessary to pass through the ordeal of justice, etc. However, all of those ordeals, as hard and difficult as they might be, become gentle and swift when we compare them with the frightening and tremendous ordeal of the Ninth Sphere (sex).” - Aztec Christic Magic |
| Order in the Work | "As we progress in our Inner Work, we can verify for ourselves an interesting order in the system of elimination. One is astonished when one discovers that there is an order in the Work related to the elimination of the multiple psychic aggregates that personify our errors.
