This glossary or dictionary is but a small introduction to the vast scope of the Gnostic Teachings. The knowledge given in the writings of Samael Aun Weor ranges across the whole of human experience and therefore draws on the world's great treasure of language and mystical expression; what cannot be expressed accurately in one language or religious context may find its perfect meaning in another tongue or theology. | Padmasambhava | (or Guru Rinpoche) An Indian Master who along with Shantarakshita and King Trisong Detsen established Tantric Buddhism in Tibet (8th century). He is perhaps most known to westerners in relation to the so-called "Tibetan Book of the Dead." He is widely revered in Tibetan Buddhism, second only to the Buddha Shakyamuni. |
